Women over 18 years old can become a uniformed Adult Leader, working with girls and young women between 5 – 25 in their local community. No special skills are needed, just enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and an enjoyment of working with children and young women.
Training and support is given in this volunteer role. You will have the chance to develop your skills in team work, dealing with people, communicating, organisation and management, and tackling life’s adventures! All qualities to make your CV stand out.
As a Girlguiding UK volunteer you can run websites or be a sports coach, go on trips, plan events, manage funds and so much more. You’ll meet new people, try new things and have loads of fun. Seeing the girls grow in confidence is amazing, and their enthusiasm is totally contagious!
